Golf
Golf has long been a major attraction at Amelia Island Plantation which offers three championship golf courses which have been certified by Audubon International as courses that conserve and restore natural ecosystems.

Oak Marsh, designed by Pete Dye and Ocean Links designed Bobby Weed, is a 36-hole configuration, and Long Point, Tom Fazio’s creation, is an 18-hole layout that weaves its way through primal marshlands and towering sand dunes on the Atlantic.

Resort guests, club members, amenity card and pass holders have full access to Ocean Links Golf Course, the recently renovated Golf Pro Shop and Marsh View Bar & Grill, as well as the resort Golf Academy. Long Point, a private-members course, is accessible for play based upon availability and additional fees.

Tennis
The Omni Amelia Island Plantation is ranked as the No. 2 Tennis Resort on Florida’s East Coast and as one of the “Top 50 Tennis Resorts in the U.S.” by Tennis Magazine.

Located underneath a canopy of ancient oaks, Omni’s Racquet Park lures tennis players with its 23 Har-Tru® fast-dry clay courts, three of which are lighted for night play.

Professional instruction is provided by Cliff Drysdale Tennis, which offers group tennis clinics and personal lessons in a distinctive setting, while catering to all ages, every level of play and groups of all sizes. Scott Colebourne is the Director of Tennis.

Spa
The Spa at Omni Amelia Island Plantation is run by experienced professionals who specialize in a number of relaxing and beneficial services such as hot stone massages, the signature Plantation Blossom Ritual, anti-aging facials, couples massages and teen and little spa services. Also, yoga classes are offered in the tree house.

Other Recreation
Activities include bicycling, fishing, award-winning youth programs, on-property and off-property nature tours and programs, an array of shopping opportunities and much more.

Throughout its duration the hotel pool and beach club will be closed. Villa guests have full access to 3.5 miles of beach, championship golf, tennis, nature center, Amelia’s Wheels, resort restaurants, The Dunes Club pool and health & fitness center. Each villa community has a private pool for villa guests.

Area Description

Amelia Island Plantation is on Amelia Island in northeast Florida, just across the St. Marys River from Georgia and adjacent to the historic city of Fernandina Beach.

The resort overlooks the blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean on the east and the Intracoastal Waterway on the west. Though private, secluded and protected by a gated entry, it is also very convenient.

The property is just a short 45-minute drive from downtown Jacksonville and 29 miles from Jacksonville International Airport. Private and corporate aircraft charters can also fly directly to Fernandina Beach Municipal Airport, four miles north of the Resort.
