Willoughby Golf Club is a 403-acre, private golf community in the charming south Florida town of Stuart. The golf club is limited to just 300 equity memberships who enjoy a challenging, par-72, championship golf course designed by Arthur Hills.
With more than 200 acres devoted to the golf course, lakes and natural preserves, Willoughby Golf Club residents enjoy a serene, low-density environment.
A Shot-Maker’s Course
Arthur Hills designed the golf course with four sets of tees to make sure both men and women golfers are suitably challenged, but not discouraged. From the championship tees that have been used in several U.S. Open qualifiers, the Willoughby Golf Club course plays to just under 6,800 yards between towering trees and natural wetlands, over lakes and around more than 55 bunkers.
In keeping with the Arthur Hills tradition, Willoughby is a shot maker’s course carved out of the natural surroundings and making abundant use of all available flora, hillocks and swales to create one of the most picturesque golf courses in the area.
Only Single-Family Homes
Willoughby Golf Club features only single-family homes. These 375 residences are spread out over 403 acres and consist of 2- and 3-bedroom ‘Neighborhood Homes’ as well as larger custom ‘Estate Homes.’
Neighborhood Homes are located in small communities within the gated Willoughby Golf Club property. Ranging in size from 2,000 to nearly 4,000 sf, most Neighborhood Homes have their own private pool, two-car garage and a golf cart entrance. Many have open views of the golf course and the adjacent lakes.
