Governor’s Land Pays Tribute to Early Settler
> Governor’s Land at Two Rivers, Williamsburg VA recently co-hosted a ceremony and presentation highlighting its significance as a historic site. Taking part were representatives of the Smithsonian Institution and he James River Institute of Archeology and acting as co-host was Virginia Society of the Order of Founders and Patriots of America.
The greater purpose of the event was reburial of the remains of one of the first American settlers, whose remains were discovered during an archeological survey in 1990. This one-week course is open to the public and will be offered from 9:30 a.m. ā 3 p.m. daily for the following three weeks: June 27 ā July 1, July 5 ā July 9 and July 11 ā July 15. > Quail Ridge Golf & CC, Boynton Beach FL congratulates successful competitors in the U.S. Womenās Open qualifying tournament held late last month on the South Course at Quail Ridge. Floridian Sandra Minarro and Mika Liu of Beverly Hills, Calif., shot 7-under 137s to earn berths in the most prestigious event in womenās golf.
