Members had previously approved plans for an expansion and enhancement to their existing Clubhouse and the addition of a new Ibis Sports Village.
Enhancements consist of a two-story fitness complex, poolside Bistro, full-service spa, and a resort-style aquatic center. Willoughby Golf Club, FL Course Open After $2.5M Renovation
in Building and Construction, Events and Holidays, NewsWilloughby Golf Club, Stuart FL recently re-opened its refurbished golf course for member play. The Arthur Hills championship course was closed for seven months so that course superintendent Jason Riley and his staff could install a new irrigation system and re-grass the tees, fairways and approaches adjacent to the greens.
Riley said the renovation will enhance playing conditions for Willoughby members and their guests. More than 100 members were on hand for the Oct. 15 debut, which included a breakfast gathering at the revamped Starter Building. The $2.5 million project caps off Willoughby’s three-year capital improvement plan that included a renovated Clubhouse and new men’s and ladies locker rooms.
