Osprey Meadows Golf Course at Tamarack Resort will host a local United States Golf Association (USGA) U.S. Amateur qualifying event on Tuesday, June 23.

U.S. Amateur Qualifying Practice Round
The official practice round is being held Monday, June 22, with qualifying competition beginning Tuesday morning at Osprey Meadows.
Competitors will play 18 holes with only eight players advancing to U.S. Amateur Final Qualifying, along with two alternate positions.
Any ties affecting qualifying positions or alternates will be determined through a hole-by-hole playoff following completion of play. Send me more information about Tamarack Resort
Fifteen States & Canada Represented
The field includes players representing Idaho, Washington, Oregon, Utah, Arizona, California, Texas, Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, Minnesota, Tennessee, North Dakota, Georgia, South Carolina, and Canada.
Idaho will be well represented, with competitors traveling from Boise, Meridian, Eagle, Lewiston, Twin Falls, Mountain Home, Hayden, Weiser, Glenns Ferry, Buhl, Kimberly and Coeur d’Alene.
The qualifier will be contested from Osprey Meadows’ Double Black Diamond championship tees which measures more than 7,300 yards.

A Significant Milestone for Tamarack

Competitors will get the benefit of experiencing the Tamarack campus.
The championship setup will provide a demanding test for competitors seeking to advance to the next stage of U.S. Amateur qualifying.
“The opportunity to host a USGA championship qualifier is a reflection of how far Osprey Meadows and Tamarack Resort have come in recent years,” said Scott Turlington, President of Tamarack Resort.
“Since reopening Osprey Meadows following its restoration, our goal has been to create one of the premier mountain golf experiences in North America.”
The U.S. Amateur Championship is widely regarded as the nation’s premier amateur golf championship and has served as a launching point for many of golf’s greatest players.
Competitors who successfully advance from local qualifying will continue to final qualifying, with the ultimate goal of earning a place in the championship field.
