Daniel Island, SC Reports 50% Bump in Luxury Home Sales
in Marketing, News, Real Estate NewsDaniel Island, Charleston SC reports that as of July 22 it had closed 132 transactions, a 28% increase over the same time period last year. Sales volume reached $68 million in the first six-and-a-half months of the year, bringing a 21% increase over 2012.
Additional highlights year-to-date include a 50% increase in sales of single-family homes priced at$1 million and above. Likewise, there was an extremely active second quarter with 91 properties sold, plus a strong start to the third quarter with 13 sales transactions since July 1. Vineyard Open House Real Estate is a new real estate company located in Vineyard Haven on the island of Martha’s Vineyard, MA. Its mission is to provide real estate services for real estate buyers and sellers as well as renters.
David Lott, founder and publisher of the GolfCourseHome and WaterViewHome Networks, is the principal broker/owner of the business.
Vineyard Open House is an outgrowth of Lott’s nearly 30 years marketing resort real estate and master-planned golf and water view communities.
Lott hosted ‘On the House—Real Estate Radio’ on WVVY 93.7 FM for four years. As creator and host he covered Martha’s Vineyard real estate and the unique lifestyle people enjoy on the island. Deep Island Roots
The Lott family has deep roots on Martha’s Vineyard, having been coming to the island since the 1890s. Lott’s grandfather, Harris Crist, retired to Vineyard Haven in 1936 from his position as co-owner of the Brooklyn Daily Eagle newspaper and had a 5-BR residence built overlooking the harbor.
His wife Addie Crist became an organist for Grace Church. Her greatest legacy is the Red Stocking Fund which she started in 1938 with a few friends who knitted six red Christmas stockings and filled them for needy island children.
