Special Olympics Event at Callawassie Island, SC
Callawassie Island, SC: Hosts Special Olympics athletes.
> Callawassie Island, SC welcomed Special Olympics athletes from Bluffton-area schools for an end-of-year tennis celebration, continuing a partnership that has brought athletes, volunteers, and community members together for several years.
The event marked the culmination of a six-week clinic program organized through SOAR (Special Olympics Area Recreation of the Lowcountry), giving athletes an opportunity to showcase the skills they’ve developed through their recent training. A total of 55 athletes participated in the event, including approximately a dozen who competed from wheelchairs. Send me more information about Callawassie Island!
