Educational Halloween Event at Sea Pines, SC
Sea Pines Resort, SC: Halloween nature tour coming up.
> Sea Pines Resort, Hilton Head Island SC has a Halloween season event with an educational twist coming up on Thursday, Oct. 17 from 7:30 to 8;30 p.m. It’s called Night at the Preserve: Full Moon Wagon Ride and it’s timed to coincide with the October full moon, known as the Hunter’s Moon.
A crew of parents and kids will embark on a guided tour of the Preserve under moonlight to learn about nature and keep a lookout for nocturnal wildlife. Cost is $18 per child and $25 per adult. Send me more information about Sea Pines!
Nature Hike at Woodside, SC
Woodside, SC: Hosts nature hike October 19.
> Woodside, Aiken SC has an upcoming outdoor event hosted by the Woodside Trail Group, one of more than 60 member-led social groups and clubs within the community. It’s a morning hike on Sat., Oct. 19 through the Phinizy Swamp Nature Park with outing leader Debby Smist.
The park spans 1,100 acres laced with a variety of woodland trails and lush wetlands featuring cypress trees draped in Spanish moss. The Phinizy Center is a non–profit dedicated to sustainable watersheds and economic vitality through research and education. Send me more information about Woodside!
