> Lake Arrowhead, Waleska GA has an informative event for residents upcoming on Sat., Sept. 14 from 9 to 11 a.m. with Prof. Donna Little of Reinhardt University. “Hiking and History with Donna” will take place along the Ridge Trail, a 1.2-mile loop rated as an intermediate-level hike.
The trail is cut into Pine Log Mountain, well-known to Great Depression and New Deal historians as the site of Camp Rieley, a Civilian Conservation Camp for unemployed farmers and laborers that produced a fire tower and various other facilities on the mountaintop. Ocean Ridge Plantation, SC: Ridge Center nearly complete.
> Ocean Ridge Plantation, Ocean Isle Beach NC remains on track for an autumn 2024 completion of its multi-million-dollar Ridge Center project. This is a 10,000-sf, single-story amenities building comprised of meeting spaces, a large event space, offices and a library.
Throughout the site are pickleball courts with separate parking and a new 4,000-sf outdoor pool with a 6,000-sf pool deck.
