Dog Walk Event at Woodside, SC
Woodside, SC: Hosting dog walk charity.
> Woodside, Aiken SC has a group of residents planning to participate in the Second Annual Dog Walk for Charity, hosted by the Aiken Steeplechase Association and scheduled for 1 p.m. on Sun., Nov. 27, at the Aiken Steeplechase Racecourse.
In 2021, the event drew pet owners and more than 100 dogs. This year’s beneficiary of the donation-supported event will be Friends of the Animal Shelter. Water for dogs will be provided. Send me more information about Woodside!
The Landings, GA Hosts Angel Tree Program
The Landings, GA: Angel tree for kids.
> The Landings, Savannah GA set Tue., Nov. 8 as opening day for its traditional holiday-season program known as the Angel Tree. Its purpose is to work with local Savannah organizations that help families and children by providing toys and gifts during the holiday season.
Two Christmas trees are set up in the community’s Welcome Center and decorated with hundreds of little angel tags – each tag representing the specific wishes of an individual child.
Once the trees are up and filled with angel tags, residents arrive and select the child or children they want to purchase gifts for. Gifts must be turned in by December 1. Send me more information about The Landings!

Fishing Tournament at Sea Pines Resort, SC
Sea Pines, SC Hosts fishing tournament next week.
> Sea Pines Resort, Hilton Head Island SC and its Recreation Department will be hosting the resort’s 19th Annual Autumn Fishing Tournament on Fri., Nov. 25, at Fish Island in the Sea Pines Forest Preserve, with a 10 a.m. first-cast. Participants will be angling for bass, bream and catfish as they attempt to take home a prize in one of the multiple tournament categories.
Reservations are required and the entry fee is $12 per person if you bring your own fishing pole and $18 including pole rental. Send me more information about Sea Pines!

The Landings, GA Completes Major Renovations
The Landings, GA: Community continues updates.
> The Landings, Savannah GA has reopened its Welcome & Sales Center following completion of phase one of a major renovation. This is the center’s first major renovation since its founding in 1974. Planned improvements include structural updates, new windows and mechanicals, technology enhancements and a more modern décor.
Phase two is now underway, including work to construct a new front entrance porch. Interior renovations in phase two include offices and a conference room. The final phase will focus on floors, ceilings and rear office painting. The entire project should be finished by June 2023. Send me more information about The Landings!
