Sailfish Point Fishing Derby
Sailfish Point, FL: Fun was had by fishing fans of all ages.
> Sailfish Point, Stuart FL held its traditional Kid’s Fishing Derby Thur., March 29 on the docks at the community’s world-class Marina. The competition was followed by a hot dog lunch and awards upstairs. Bait and tackle were provided and awards were given out to each participant.
From the Sailfish Point Marina to open water is just a five-minute trip, with access to the Indian River, the Atlantic Ocean and the St. Lucie Inlet all await. Along with being an acknowledged “Sailfish capital of the World,” Stuart is also provide fishing waters that yield dolphin, wahoo, kingfish, tarpon, snook, redfish and sea trout. Easter at WindRiver

> Reynolds Lake Oconee, Greensboro, GA has a new event on its fall schedule, the inaugural Reynolds Cup presented by National Car Rental, set for Sept. 10-12. This corporate golf event will match two-person teams from companies throughout the country to compete over 36 holes on The Oconee course in a Stableford Best Ball format.
Activities begin Monday, Sept. 10 and conclude on Wednesday with final-round play followed by cocktails and the awards dinner.
