Palmetto Bluff, SC: Golf community hosts artist event.
> Palmetto Bluff, Bluffton SC welcomes craft-minded visitors to a reception and “studio talk” with Ben and Sydney Spurrier, the husband-wife team behind Burls & Steel, on-property all month as Artists in Residence. The reception happens Wed., Nov. 15 from 4 to 6 pm at the community’s FLOW Gallery and Workshop.
On display will be the craft and artisanship that goes into creating handmade heirloom knives using traditional blacksmithing techniques. The artists will showcase their exquisite collection of knives, ranging from chef’s knives to hunting knives. Send me more information about Palmetto Bluff!

Fundraising Ceremony at Colleton River Club, SC
Colleton River Club, SC: Assisting with fundraising ceremony.
> Colleton River Club, Bluffton SC recently held a formal check-presentation ceremony with the Bluffton Jasper County Volunteers in Medicine to conclude a community-wide fundraising campaign.
The program’s executive director, Pam Toney, accepted the $12,000 Colleton River grant and offered heartfelt thanks. Over 20 percent of new patients at Volunteers in Medicine suffer from undiagnosed diabetes.
