Indian River Colony Club, FL: Holds benefit for veterans.
> Indian River Colony Club, Melbourne-Viera FL held a walkathon fundraiser earlier this month to benefit Brevard County military veterans in need. Wearing red, white and blue colors, a contingent of 60-plus community walkers, sponsored by the Residents Activity Council at IRCC, raised $1,722 for veterans adversely affected by the pandemic.

Led by the famed past champion of Wimbledon and the U.S. Open, this weekend event is a nine-hour class that will feature video analysis of your serve, stroke, footwork and strategy, with instruction on all facets of the game, plus many practice drills.

Women’s Tournament at World Golf Village
World Golf Village, FL: Hosts new women’s tournament.
> World Golf Village, St. Augustine FL will be the host site of an innovative new women’s professional golf tournament next fall, the Orca Golf Bags Women’s Match Play, scheduled for Oct. 26 through Nov. 7, 2021. The competition will be an official event on the Women’s All Pro Tour, a feeder for the LPGA Tour, organized over two weeks in two separate, but connected tournaments.
The first week will feature a 54-hole Stroke-Play tournament on the King & Bear course, which will also seed the second week’s event, a 64-woman Match-Play championship at Slammer & Squire. Each tournament will have its own prize purse, a guarantee of $50,000 shared between the two events. Send me more information about World Golf Village!
