Callawassie Island Celebrates Anniversary
Callawassie Island, SC: Celebrating a year of the River Club.
> Callawassie Island, SC will soon celebrate the one-year anniversary of an amenity that has dramatically enriched community life there. The Callawassie Island River Club had its grand opening in April of 2019 and became an immediate hit with residents and their guests.
Members appreciate for providing the best river view of any spot inside the gates, with most tables overlooking the river. A new screened-in porch has added still more river-view dining. Woodside Cares for Bluebirds, Others
> Woodside, Aiken SC recently received word from the South Carolina Bluebird Society that the community would become a Designated Bluebird Habitat. Woodside was also given the Society’s Nestbox Award for its continued cooperation with efforts to build and place dedicated bluebird homes.
The SCBS has aided in the fledging of over 20,000 bluebirds, including nearly 6,000 birds last year alone. The SCBS also aids and monitors Wood Duck, Screech Owl and Kestrel nest boxes across 88 trails in South Carolina and East Georgia. Send me more information about Woodside!

Dataw Island Welcomes New Harbormaster
Dataw Island, SC: New pro on the team.
> Dataw Island, SC is pleased to welcome its new Harbormaster, Chad Langford, who joins the Dataw staff earlier this month. Langford most previously had served as general manager of the Hilton Head Boathouse.
While employed there, he underwent in-depth mechanical training to earn a five-star certificate in Yamaha boat engine maintenance.
