Colleton River Club, SC: Presents grant to Boys & Girls Club.
> Colleton River Club, Bluffton SC, through its non–profit Colleton River Charitable Fund, recently bestowed a $15,000 grant on the Boys & Girls Club of Bluffton, S.C. The club provides a safe haven for over 350 Bluffton-area students after school and over the summer. These children participate in a variety of programs focused on helping them reach their full potential and achieve success.
These include literacy programs for children reading below grade level, help with homework to ensure kids keep up, art and music programs to foster creativity, organized sports teams, even career exploration classes for teens. Riverton Pointe, SC: Hosts Beach Discovery Walk this month.
> Riverton Pointe, Hardeeville SC invites residents to enjoy a Beach Discovery Walk outing conducted by master naturalist Jill Moore on Mon., July 15 from 1 to 3 p.m. along Fish Haul Beach Park.
Moore, founder of the science–education company Moore to Life, will begin the expedition in the historic Gullah neighborhood of Bay Gall and lead the group the length of Fish Haul Beach, with its excellent views of Port Royal Sound.

Woodside, SC Celebrates Monarch Garden
Woodside, SC: Celebrates anniversary of monarch garden.
> Woodside, Aiken SC is marking the one-year anniversary of an important wildlife-preservation achievement in the community. At this time last year, Woodside’s newest park addition was deemed a Certified Monarch Garden by The North American Butterfly Association.
This accolade recognizes the park as a garden that “provides resources that increase the world’s population of Monarch Butterflies.”
The Butterfly Park also includes a pavilion for community gatherings and has become home to Woodside’s Butterfly Monarchy club meetings in addition to other communal neighborhood gatherings. Send me more information about Woodside!
