Colleton River Club, SC: Presents grant to Boys & Girls Club.
> Colleton River Club, Bluffton SC, through its non–profit Colleton River Charitable Fund, recently bestowed a $15,000 grant on the Boys & Girls Club of Bluffton, S.C. The club provides a safe haven for over 350 Bluffton-area students after school and over the summer. These children participate in a variety of programs focused on helping them reach their full potential and achieve success.
These include literacy programs for children reading below grade level, help with homework to ensure kids keep up, art and music programs to foster creativity, organized sports teams, even career exploration classes for teens. Moore, founder of the science–education company Moore to Life, will begin the expedition in the historic Gullah neighborhood of Bay Gall and lead the group the length of Fish Haul Beach, with its excellent views of Port Royal Sound.
