Golden Ocala Completes Course Renovations
Golden Ocala, FL: Extensive course renovations now complete.
> Golden Ocala Golf & Equestrian Club, Ocala FL announced last week that a five-month golf course renovation project was completed and its Ron Garl-designed course was officially back open for play.
As part of the renovation all 18 greens were rebuilt at six-inch depth, and contours were altered to enhance playability and reward well-played shots.
In addition the tee boxes regraded and regressed, and the course’s bunkers received 2,000 tons of new sand. Work was completed in early July and the remaining months were set aside for grow–in and maturation of the new turfgrass. Send me more information about Golden Ocala!

Live Music at Treasure Lake
> Treasure Lake, DuBois PA continues its tradition of live music performances with an appearance on Sat., Oct. 3 by The Steel Woods, a Nashville-based band that tours the Southeastern U.S. playing country, heavy blues and rock selections.
Venue for the evening is the Ski Lodge Stage at Treasure Lake, with opening act Sergeant Bob beginning at 5:30 and the headliners following at 7 p.m.

Golf Channel will broadcast all four rounds with three hours of coverage each day. The event will be played at Great Waters, one of six outstanding courses available to Reynolds Members and guests.
Great Waters, which first opened in 1992, recently underwent an extensive renovation led by its designer, Jack Nicklaus. Reynolds stepped in to host the world’s best women golfers after the LPGA Tour was forced to change its fall schedule due to the Covid-19 pandemic. > Golden Ocala Golf & Equestrian Club, Ocala FL announced last week that a five-month golf course renovation project was completed and its Ron Garl-designed course was officially back open for play.
As part of the renovation all 18 greens were rebuilt at six-inch depth, and contours were altered to enhance playability and reward well-played shots.
In addition the tee boxes regraded and regressed, and the course’s bunkers received 2,000 tons of new sand. Work was completed in early July and the remaining months were set aside for grow–in and maturation of the new turfgrass. Send me more information about Golden Ocala!

Live Music at Treasure Lake
> Treasure Lake, DuBois PA continues its tradition of live music performances with an appearance on Sat., Oct. 3 by The Steel Woods, a Nashville-based band that tours the Southeastern U.S. playing country, heavy blues and rock selections.
Venue for the evening is the Ski Lodge Stage at Treasure Lake, with opening act Sergeant Bob beginning at 5:30 and the headliners following at 7 p.m.
